The Iona Prep Gaels football squad scored 41 points and restricted the visiting St. Francis Prep Terriers to 6 in the Gaels non-league win on Saturday.

In their next game, the Gaels face the Chaminade Flyers (Mineola, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 18. Iona Prep will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Flyers go into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 20-7 non-league win over Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY).

The Terriers (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Holy Trinity triumphed over Holy Cross (Flushing, NY), 35-6, in a league test.
