New Mexico High School Soccer - St. Pius X knocks off Lovington

In Saturday's non-league outing, the host St. Pius X Sartans soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 win over the Lovington Wildcats.
The Sartans (12-1) will now prepare for their outing against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates enter the 4A District 5 outing with a 3-14 record. In their last outing, Grants by Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now sport a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Portales for a 4A District 4 test on Tuesday, October 14. Lovington will clash with a Rams team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rams record now stands at 2-13.
