Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) and the host McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA), observed Academy of Our Lady's volleyball team top McGehee by a count of 2-0.

The Penguins (26-4) will now prepare for their contest against Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA). The Chipmunks enter the non-league contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Archbishop Chapelle notched a victory over St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA), 3-1, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph's Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. McGehee will face a Redstickers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Redstickers record now stands at 9-11.
