Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Marlette Red Raiders (Marlette, MI), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Raiders now have a 5-17 record. They play next when they travel to Reese for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 11. Almont will play a Rockets squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Cass City (Cass City, MI). The Rockets record now stands at 15-10.

The Red Raiders (13-12) will now prepare for their game against Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 15-15 record. In their last game, Croswell-Lexington was edged by Yale (Yale, MI), 3-0, in a league game.
