Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Stillwater Ponies (Stillwater, MN) and the host Byron Bears (Byron, MN), observed Stillwater's volleyball team top Byron by a tally of 2-0.

The Ponies (16-10) will now prepare for their contest against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN). The Sabres go into the non-league test with a 14-9 record. In their last challenge, Sartell-St. Stephen beat Buffalo (Buffalo, MN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Lourdes Eagles (Rochester, MN) in a Hiawatha Valley challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 3-19 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN).
