Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Carlmont improves its record to 11-8 on the season. The Scots travel to Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA) to meet the Bears in a Peninsula - Bay challenge on Tuesday, October 14. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 18-8. Menlo-Atherton lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Aragon (San Mateo, CA)

Next, the Black Bears play the Sequoia Ravens (Redwood City, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 11. Summit Shasta will attempt to advance on its 20-8 season record. The Ravens go into the test with a 14-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Woodside (Woodside, CA).
