In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Portland Raiders volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Carson City-Crystal Eagles.
The Raiders (25-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry (Perry, MI). The Ramblers enter the non-league challenge with a 7-15 record. In their last challenge, Perry beat St. Patrick (Portland, MI), 3-2, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 2-22 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leslie for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. Carson City-Crystal will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Vandercook Lake (Jackson, MI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 8-18.
