The Durango Trailblazers topped the host Cheyenne Desert Shields volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Trailblazers face the Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV) in a 5A Southern - Desert game, on Tuesday, October 14. Durango will attempt to advance on its 16-15 season record. The Gaels go into the game with a 25-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Liberty (Henderson, NV).
The Desert Shields (6-23) will now prepare for their outing against Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV). The Bengals come into the 4A Southern - Desert outing with a 11-12 record. In their last outing, Bonanza beat Desert Pines (Las Vegas, NV), 3-0, in a league outing.
