Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Cleveland Warriors (Portland, OR), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Irish (19-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeridge (Lake Oswego, OR). The Pacers go into the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Lakeridge gained a win over Tigard (Tigard, OR), 3-0, in a league test.

The Warriors now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McMinnville for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. Cleveland will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Liberty (Hillsboro, OR). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-11.
