The Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) volleyball knocked off the visiting De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Astros now possess a 16-7 record. They play next when they host Chicago Christian for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 15. Shepard will clash with a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL). The Knights record now stands at 19-9.
With the loss, De La Salle drops to 3-26 on the campaign. The Meteors travel to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Rams in a Girls Catholic (GCAC) bout on Tuesday, October 14. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 24-3. DePaul College Prep won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL)
