The Escalon Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Vanden Vikings to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now have a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Bear Creek for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 11. Escalon will play a Bruins team coming off a 3-0 league win over Chavez (Stockton, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 8-11.
With the loss, Vanden moves to 5-15 on the season. The Vikings travel to Vacaville (Vacaville, CA) to confront the Bulldogs in a Monticello Empire League game on Monday, October 13. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 21-11. Vacaville won 3-1 in their recent league game against Pioneer (Woodland, CA)
