In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Forest Hills Central Rangers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the West Ottawa Panthers.

The Rangers (17-18) will now prepare for their test against Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Detroit Country Day nudged Hartland (Hartland, MI), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grand Haven for a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Tuesday, October 14. West Ottawa will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Rockford (Rockford, MI). The Buccaneers record now stands at 27-8.
