In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Herreid/Selby Wolverines volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Waubay/Summit Mustangs.
The Wolverines (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 23-2 record. In their last challenge, Northwestern Area edged Faulkton (Faulkton, SD), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilmot for a B Region 1 test on Tuesday, October 14. Waubay/Summit will face a Wolves squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD). The Wolves record now stands at 3-16.
