Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO) and the host Saxony Lutheran Crusaders (Jackson, MO), observed Kirkwood's volleyball team top Saxony Lutheran by a count of 2-0.
The Pioneers (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis, MO). The Red Knights enter the non-league contest with a 17-11 record. In their last battle, Incarnate Word Academy achieved victory over Cor Jesu Academy (St. Louis, MO), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Crusaders now own a 11-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winona for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 11. Saxony Lutheran will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mountain Grove (Mountain Grove, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 28-1.
