In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Unity Christian Crusaders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Lakewood Vikings.
The Crusaders (14-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Niles (Niles, MI). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 11-14 record. In their last challenge, Niles lost by Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Vikings meet the Coldwater Cardinals (Coldwater, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 11. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 17-18 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 3-2 league loss to Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI).
