Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Lincoln Mustangs (San Francisco, CA) and the host Lincoln Lions (San Jose, CA), observed Lincoln's volleyball team top Lincoln by a tally of 2-0.

The Mustangs (29-8) will now prepare for their contest against Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Milpitas beat Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions meet the Burlingame Panthers (Burlingame, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 11. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 10-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Carlmont (Belmont, CA).
