Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers (Waterville, MN) and the host Roosevelt Teddies (Minneapolis, MN), observed Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's volleyball team hold off Roosevelt by a count of 2-1.

The Buccaneers (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hayfield (Hayfield, MN). The Vikings go into the Gopher battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, Hayfield was edged by United South Central (Wells, MN), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Teddies now own a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Camden for a Minneapolis City battle on Monday, October 13. Roosevelt will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Hmong Academy (Minneapolis, MN). The Patriots record now stands at 0-14.
