    The Ponca City Wildcats held off the visiting Putnam City Pirates football team by a final score of 35-28 in Thursday's league outing.

    With the win, Ponca City improves its record to 3-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Capitol Hill (Oklahoma City, OK) to confront the Redwolves in a 6A-II District 2 outing on Thursday, October 19. The Redwolves go into the outing with a record of 0-8. Capitol Hill lost 72-0 in their recent league outing against Putnam City (Oklahoma City, OK)

    With the loss, Putnam City moves to 2-5 on the season. The Pirates host Putnam City North (Oklahoma City, OK) to confront the Panthers in a 6A-II District 2 outing on Thursday, October 19. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 4-4. Putnam City North lost 37-31 in their recent league outing against Ponca City (Ponca City, OK)
