The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), observed Alexander Central's football squad defeat South Caldwell by a count of 40-14.

The Cougars now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 19. Alexander Central will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 40-14 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
