The Newton-Conover Red Devils football team (Newton, NC), was tipped 34-28 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC)
The Trojans (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, West Caldwell nipped West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 22-20, in a non-league challenge.
The Red Devils now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bunker Hill for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 19. Newton-Conover will meet a Bears team coming off a 42-14 league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Bears record now stands at 1-7.
