In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Mt. Pleasant Oilers football squad scored a close 35-28 victory over the Dow Chargers.
In their next game, the Oilers face the Linden Eagles (Linden, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 19. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record.
The Chargers (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Midland (Midland, MI). The Chemics enter the non-league bout with a 7-2 record. In their last bout, Midland nudged Lapeer East (Lapeer, MI), 35-12, in a non-league bout.
