The Mt. Vernon Mustangs topped the visiting Grinnell Tigers volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 31-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Williamsburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 17. Mt. Vernon will confront a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to South Tama County (Tama, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-24.
The Tigers (8-20) will now prepare for their test against Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Bobcats enter the non-league test with a 12-23 record. In their last test, Benton was knocked off by Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
