The Maple River Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros to 1 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.

The Eagles now have a 16-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva for a Gopher game on Friday, October 13. Maple River will meet a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 10-9.

The H-CV Burros (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Thompson (Thompson, ND). The Tommies enter the B - Region 2 game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Thompson gained a win over Northern Cass (Hunter, ND), 3-2, in a non-league game.
