In Saturday's league match, the visiting Cooperstown Hawkeyes football squad scored a good 28-20 triumph over the New York Mills Marauders.
The Hawkeyes (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Frankfort-Schuyler (Frankfort, NY). The Maroon Knights come into the Section 3 8-Man - East (8 Man) match with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Frankfort-Schuyler defeated Clinton (Clinton, NY), 52-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Marauders confront the Bishop Grimes Cobras (East Syracuse, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 19. New York Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Cobras come into the match with a 4-1 record after their 60-12 league win over Notre Dame (Utica, NY).
