In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Ankeny Christian Academy volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the St. Edmond Gaels.
The (31-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Mohawks enter the non-league challenge with a 7-14 record. In their last challenge, Moravia was beaten by Wayne (Corydon, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gaels meet the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, October 12. St. Edmond will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Norsemen enter the challenge with a 22-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over North Polk (Alleman, IA).
