In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fountain Valley Barons volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the La Quinta Aztecs.

The Barons (18-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA). The Mariners enter the non-league challenge with a 12-13 record. In their last challenge, Pacifica was beaten by El Modena (Orange, CA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Aztecs meet the Estancia Eagles (Costa Mesa, CA) in a Freelance challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. La Quinta will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 15-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Panorama (Panorama City, CA).
