The Lone Star Longhorns volleyball squad (Otis, CO), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates (Hugo, CO)

With the win, Genoa-Hugo/Karval improves its record to 11-5 on the season. The Pirates host Hi-Plains (Seibert, CO) to encounter the Patriots in a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 15. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 11-7. Hi-Plains lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Stratton (Stratton, CO)

The Longhorns now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kiowa for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 12. Lone Star will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Cripple Creek-Victor (Cripple Creek, CO). The Indians record now stands at 6-6.
