The Alleghany Mountaineers football team (Covington, VA), was beaten 31-6 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA)
The Highlanders (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats come into the Three Rivers challenge with a 7-0 record.
The Mountaineers now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carroll County for a Three Rivers challenge on Friday, October 21. Alleghany will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 41-12 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-6.
