In Thursday's league game, the Coweta Tigers (Coweta, OK) football team smashed the visiting Durant Lions (Durant, OK), by a final score of 58-6.

The Tigers (7-0) will now prepare for their game against East Central (Tulsa, OK). The Cardinals come into the 5A District 3 game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, East Central was trounced by McAlester (McAlester, OK), 68-7, in a league game.

The Lions now hold a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host McAlester for a 5A District 3 game on Friday, October 21. Durant will battle a Buffaloes team coming off a 68-7 league win over East Central (Tulsa, OK). The Buffaloes record now stands at 6-1.
