In Thursday's league game, the Dunbar Poets (Baltimore, MD) football team knocked off the visiting Poly Engineers (Baltimore, MD), by a final score of 24-6.
The Poets (7-0) will now prepare for their game against Forest Park (Baltimore, MD). The Foresters come into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Forest Park toppled Benjamin Franklin (Baltimore, MD), 44-0, in a league game.
The Engineers now hold a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Patterson for a Baltimore City I game on Friday, October 21. Poly will battle a Clippers team coming off a 42-20 league win over Edmondson-Westside (Baltimore, MD). The Clippers record now stands at 2-4.
