The Monte Alto Blue Devil football team (Monte Alto, TX), was ripped 43-7 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX)

The Greyhounds (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX). The Longhorns come into the 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Hebbronville trounced Odem (Odem, TX), 34-33, in a league challenge.

The Blue Devil now sport a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge on Friday, October 21. Monte Alto will meet a Warriors team coming off a 43-0 league loss to Taft (Taft, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
