New York High School Football - Maryvale felled by Akron

The Maryvale Flyers football team (Cheektowaga, NY), was knocked off 24-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Akron Tigers (Akron, NY)

The Tigers (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Royalton-Hartland (Middleport, NY). The Rams go into the outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Royalton-Hartland went down by Iroquois (Elma, NY), 48-6, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, Maryvale moves to 1-1 on the season. The Flyers host Cheektowaga (Cheektowaga, NY) to confront the Warriors in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 20. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 4-1. Cheektowaga won 44-24 in their recent non-league outing against Dunkirk (Dunkirk, NY)
