In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Clayton Comets football squad scored a close 15-12 victory over the Corinth Holders Pirates.
In their next game, the Comets clash with the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 20. Clayton will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Storm enter the match with a 2-6 record after their 12-7 non-league loss to South Garner (Garner, NC).
The Pirates (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Southeast Raleigh was nudged by Cleveland (Clayton, NC), 21-0, in a non-league match.
