Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Lions (Laurel, MD), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Cavaliers face the Central Falcons (Capitol Heights, MD) in a Prince George's County 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Monday, October 17. Crossland will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 5-3 league loss to Surrattsville (Clinton, MD).
The Lions now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host International High School at Langley Park for a Prince George's County 1A/2A/3A challenge on Monday, October 17. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will face a Bladensburg team coming off a 8-1 league win over Friendly (Fort Washington, MD). The Bladensburg record now stands at 6-2.
