Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Guilderland Flying Dutchman (Guilderland Center, NY), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils face the Schenectady Patriots (Schenectady, NY) in a Suburban Council- Gray challenge, on Saturday, October 15. Columbia will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 5-0 league loss to Shaker (Latham, NY).

The Flying Dutchman now have a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Mohonasen for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 15. Guilderland will face a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Voorheesville (Voorheesville, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 2-12.
