The New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) volleyball were winner over the visiting Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.
With the win, New Covenant betters its record to 14-4 on the year. The Gryphons host Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to face the Mavericks in a VISAA Division 3 outing on Friday, October 21. The Mavericks go into the outing with a record of 7-3.
The Chiefs now sport a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Blue Ridge outing on Wednesday, October 19. Carlisle will face a Celtics squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Covenant (Charlottesville, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 6-13.
