The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Mill Valley Jaguars (Shawnee, KS) and the host De Soto Wildcats (De Soto, KS), saw Mill Valley's volleyball squad beat De Soto by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Mill Valley upgrades its record to 28-8 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Varsity Opponent (, ) to play the in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 22. The go into the bout with a record of 65-380.

The Wildcats now own a 7-20 record. They take the field next when they host Gardner-Edgerton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 18. De Soto will battle a Trailblazers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS). The Trailblazers record now stands at 13-20.
