The West Hempstead Rams held off the visiting East Meadow Jets volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rams now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hicksville for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 19. West Hempstead will confront a Comets team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to North Shore (Glen Head, NY). The Comets record now stands at 1-1.
The Jets (0-1) will now prepare for their test against North Shore (Glen Head, NY). The Vikings enter the Section 8 AA-1 test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, North Shore held off Hicksville (Hicksville, NY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
