North Carolina High School Football - Monroe trounces Anson

October 13, 2023: Wadesboro, NC 28170

In Friday's league match, the visiting Monroe Redhawks football squad scored a big 53-14 victory over the Anson Bearcats.

In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River match, on Friday, October 20. Monroe will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 45-0 league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC).

The Bearcats (4-4) will now prepare for their match against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts enter the 2A/3A Rocky River match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, West Stanly routed Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 24-12, in a league match.
