Pennsylvania High School Football - Yough felled by Apollo Ridge

In Friday's league game, the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) football team were victorious over the visiting Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA), by a score of 48-20.

The Vikings (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA). The Eagles come into the WPIAL AA Allegheny game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Serra Catholic knocked off Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA), 47-0, in a league game.

The Cougars now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Steel Valley for a WPIAL AA Allegheny game on Friday, October 20. Yough will battle a Ironmen team coming off a 49-14 league win over Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Ironmen record now stands at 6-1.
