Virginia High School Football - Auburn crushed by Fort Chiswell

In Friday's league game, the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) football team smashed the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), by a score of 41-7.

The Pioneers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons come into the Mountain Empire game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, George Wythe overwhelmed J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 58-0, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire game on Friday, October 20. Auburn will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 35-30 non-league win over Bluefield (Bluefield, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-0.
