The Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) football nudged the host High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), 38-32 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles clash with the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) in a Mid-State 3A bout, on Friday, October 20. Ben L. Smith will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 7-1 record after their 77-0 league win over Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).

The Bison (0-8) will now prepare for their bout against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Camels enter the Mid-State 3A bout with a 1-7 record. In their last bout, Atkins was nudged by Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC), 32-28, in a league bout.
