The Captain Shreve Gators thwarted the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs football team by a count of 32-24 in Friday's league outing.
With the win, Captain Shreve upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Gators travel to Southwood (Shreveport, LA) to confront the Cowboys in a 5A District 1 outing on Thursday, October 19. The Cowboys go into the outing with a record of 0-7. Southwood lost 49-8 in their recent league outing against Benton (Benton, LA)

The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Parkway won 21-3 in their recent league outing against Byrd (Shreveport, LA)
