The Central of Clay County Volunteers football squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Sylacauga Aggies to 0 in the Volunteers league victory on Friday.
The Volunteers now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beauregard for a 5A Region 4 battle on Friday, October 20. Central of Clay County will play a Hornets squad coming off a 27-7 league loss to Elmore County (Eclectic, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 4-3.
Coming up next, the Aggies play the Tallassee Tigers (Tallassee, AL) in a 5A Region 4 battle, on Friday, October 20. Sylacauga will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 48-14 league loss to Valley (Valley, AL).
