The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL) and the visiting Cumberland Pirates (Toledo, IL), observed Nokomis's football squad defeat Cumberland by a count of 22-12.

The Redskins now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sangamon Valley/Tri-City for a Lincoln Prairie contest on Friday, October 20. Nokomis will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 40-21 league loss to Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL). The Storm record now stands at 2-6.
