The Sumter Central Jaguars football squad scored 36 points and restricted the host Greene County Tigers to 14 in the Jaguars non-league victory on Friday.

The Jaguars now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saint James for a 3A Region 3 battle on Thursday, October 19. Sumter Central will play a Trojans squad coming off a 47-8 league win over Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 6-2.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the Cold Springs Eagles (Bremen, AL) in a 2A Region 5 battle, on Friday, October 20. Greene County will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 58-14 league loss to Aliceville (Aliceville, AL).
