Pennsylvania High School Football - Honesdale held off by Mid Valley

In Friday's league game, the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) football team tipped the visiting Honesdale Hornets (Honesdale, PA), by a final score of 26-25.

The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their game against West Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Invaders come into the Lackawanna 2 game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, West Scranton got by Lakeland (Jermyn, PA), 28-21, in a league game.

The Hornets now hold a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Dunmore for a Lackawanna 2 game on Friday, October 20. Honesdale will battle a Bucks team coming off a 20-12 league win over Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA). The Bucks record now stands at 7-2.
