Washington High School Football - Lynden Christian topples Meridian

The Lynden Christian Lyncs (Lynden, WA) football defeated the host Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), 40-13 in Friday's league game.
The Lyncs (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Borderites come into the 1A Northwest game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Blaine was dropped by Bellingham (Bellingham, WA), 40-23, in a non-league game.
The Trojans now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Baker for a 1A Northwest game on Friday, October 20. Meridian will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 49-19 league loss to Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-5.
