In Friday's non-league game, the Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS) football team smashed the host Macksville Mustangs (Macksville, KS), by a score of 54-0.

The Thunderbirds (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Trego (WaKeeney, KS). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Trego overwhelmed LaCrosse (LaCrosse, KS), 46-6, in a non-league game.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kiowa County for a Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) game on Friday, October 20. Macksville will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 72-38 non-league win over Ness City (Ness City, KS). The Mavericks record now stands at 1-6.
