The Monte Alto Blue Devil football team (Monte Alto, TX), was ripped 48-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX)

The Greyhounds (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX). The Longhorns come into the 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Hebbronville was ripped by Odem (Odem, TX), 29-27, in a league challenge.

The Blue Devil now sport a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they host Santa Rosa for a 3A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge on Friday, October 20. Monte Alto will meet a Warriors team coming off a 30-20 league loss to Taft (Taft, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 3-3.
